Extralink Nemesis - new gigabit managed switch for future-proof deployments The 48-port Gigabit Smart switch with 48 1000BASE-T ports and four 10G SFP slots provides advanced management features with 256 Gbps switching capacity. The Extralink Nemesis is equipped with 1000BASE-T ports that provide higher gigabit speeds up to 1000 Mbps with existing Cat5e or better cabling. This 48-port gigabit switch provides a high-performance switch architecture that greatly simplifies LAN upgrade tasks to meet growing bandwidth demands. The switch's Flow Control feature allows routers and servers to connect directly to the switch for fast and reliable data transfer. Key features of Extralink Nemesis Speeds of 1000 Mbps for applications with varying bandwidths With data rates of 802.11ac wireless access points reaching as high as 1 Gbps, 100M ports cannot meet the bandwidth demand. Supporting speeds at 1 Gbps, the Extralink Nemesis can deliver data to 802.11ac wireless access points. All RJ45 interfaces on the Extralink Nemezis support 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-negotiation for optimal speed detection along with RJ45 category 6, 5 or 5e cables. 10 Gbps SFP ports for high network performance Extralink Nemesis provides higher throughput and powerful computing power. It offers a maximum uplink capacity of 40 Gbps through four 10 Gbps SFP ports . In addition, the administrator can flexibly choose the appropriate SFP/SFP module depending on the transmission distance or the transmission speed required for efficient network expansion. Designed with surge protection in mind Achieving 6 kV surge protection , the Ethernet ports of the Extralink Nemezis switch have immunity to lightning and other electrical surges, offering reliable operation even in harsh environments. Auto-MDI/MDI-X standard Extralink Nemesis also supports the auto-MDI/MDI-X standard, which can detect the type of connection to any Ethernet device without the need for special straight or crossover cables.
